Fish Head - Weekend Report

Sat - Fun trip - Spring fishing, beautiful weather. picked away at blackfish but overall tough fishing. had about 15 blacks over 30 ling and some nice cod. Kim took the pool with a fat 7lb blackfish.

Sunday -had Jason Brandon and Jim Kishbaugh on board. Back to the deep but barely a bite - only boated a few blackfish and no ling.....aarrg. Thanks to a call from George and Joe Sykk Fish we ran inshore and had a nice bass bite. The crew had steady action boating their limit of keepers. Nice spread of fish provided great action for the charter. No stellar bottom fishing but always a great day on the water!!

Fish Head - Toggin Thursday - Patience paid!!

Had Chris, Jon G, Pete and Mike"Shore Thing" out toggin. No doubt it was a brutal day!! No bite, poor conditions and FREEZZING cold. By 10am all we wanted to do was go to Kelly's!! By 1:00pm we only had 4 fish in the box. Made 4 moves with nothing to show. Had to make a drastic move and the 5th drop paid off!! By 4PM we had our limit of all quality fish. Few 6s and 8s. Pete won the pool with a 10 and Chris popped his cod cherry. Patience paid off....and we got lucky of course on a tough day of fishing!!
